PAULIE’S PUSH 4
AMERICAN 11
Paulie’s Push 4: American 11 rounds out Paulie’s tributes of all four of the flights hijacked on September 11, 2001. The Push began the weekend of August 18 with a small sendoff in the Boston Public Garden 9/11 Memorial. The route follows a similar route to the original Push, heading through Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York before arriving at Ground Zero in downtown Manhattan in time for September 11th.

Sendoff Ceremony
Sunday, August 18 | Boston Public Garden
On Sunday, August 18 Paulie was joined by family, friends, and followers at the 9/11 Memorial at Boston’s Public Garden for a sendoff. Under the mist of a light rain, a short ceremony took place, including:
Boston Bruins National Anthem singer Todd Angilly sang the national anthem. Mr. Angilly took part in our sendoff in 2021, as well.
Paulie’s good friend and Power Forward co-founder Kevin Stevens offered remarks.
Acknowledgement of Chuck Ritz of the Hope & Peace Foundation, who came all the way from Maryland with Maryland’s 9/11 Rolling Exhibit. Chuck spent the day driving the exhibit through the processional behind Paulie as he pushed.
Team Paulie was recognized. It was one of the few times that Stevie, Dennis, Jeff, Chris, Elizabeth, Joe, and Deborah would all be together at once.
Paulie spoke, offering thanks to all who have made Paulie’s Push what it’s become.
102nd Intelligence Wing Chaplain Ryan Yi offered a prayer for the families of those who perished on Flight 11, as well as to keep Paulie safe as he honors them.

Paulie was escorted throughout day one by police from the Boston Police Department, the Brookline Police Department, and the Newton Police Department. Boston Police Special Events coordinated parking during the sendoff. Help from law enforcement is so appreciated - Paulie’s team is fond of saying that every flashing light and siren chirp helps keep Paulie safer out on the roadways.

We met Lance Koren from Norwood out on the route today. He and his wife came out to wish Paulie well, and brought with them a display of memorabilia from the months Lance spent as part of the Ground Zero cleanup effort. Thank you, Lance!
The link to the live tracker can be found at pauliespush.com/map. The tracker allows people following Paulie’s journey to see his progress in real time, and to view photos taken every minute from the PaulieCam. Some folks use that to find him on the route.
People like Cheryl Campbell, military veteran and retired American Airlines flight attendant. When she heard about what Paulie was doing, she told him she just had to come. Visits like that help keep Paulie going…
